When we talk about poise, we have many things in mind.

It is important to take care of them in different seasons, winter and summer, not to over burden them with load and too keep these parts clean too. As a whole, they keep the alignment straight and as long as the alignment is proper, the forces and strain acting upon the joints is equal. One of the most important of this may be the correct neck posture.
Many suffer from neck pain today. We need to understand that this small part of our body, the neck is in fact one of the most important part of our body. It is even though small, yet it is pretty strong to support our heavy head. It also allows us to bend our head and move sideways. It inter links the spinal cord and the brain. Sometimes it does hurt. So the easiest relief from this pain which sometimes gets out of hand is simply regular exercise to build stamina.

Exercise for Neck Pain – 3 Simple Techniques
Sitting in front of your computer or working on your desk for long hours can result into neck pain. Or if you have naturally weak neck muscles still there is a cure for it. You can do some simple exercises for easing your neck pain or making your muscles stronger. Before jumping to the exercise section, you should take care of few things, for every exercise:
- Make the movement slowly and smoothly, without any jerks.
- Make sure your jaw and mouth are relaxed. Keep your lips together, teeth a bit apart, and make your tongue to rest on your mouth roof.
- Expect some level of discomfort, however, make sure exercises must not cause extreme pain.
Now try these exercises while keeping the above pointers in mind:
- Forward & Backward Bending:
Sit straight and gradually move your neck in the front forward direction till your chin is touching your chest. Keep this position for at least 5 seconds and then move your neck back to its original place. Similarly move your head backward, now you will be looking at the ceiling. Maintain this position for 5 seconds and move your head back to its original position. Repeat these steps 5 times and you will see how it will help in relaxing your neck, shoulders, and back.
- Right & Left Bending:
This exercise for neck pain is similar to the first exercise, only the directions are changed. First touch your right ear with your right shoulder and stay there for 5 seconds. Then go back to your original place and move your head to the left such that the left ear touches left shoulder. Stay there for 5 seconds and then go back to your original position.
- Rotating Your Neck:
Start from the forward bend posture; slowly rotate your neck clockwise. Move your head to the right, back, left and back to the original forward bend posture. Similarly move your head anticlockwise. Make sure you do this exercise extremely slow or it may increase your neck pain.
By following these three extremely simple exercises you can help your neck muscles relax, get rid of neck stiffness as well as shoulders and back stiffness. The best thing about these exercises is that they can be practiced anywhere, anytime, without the need of any tool or equipment.
